The Waterfront in Autumn

Heavenly.

Apple Pie and Homework

I'm having this right now. It's good.

After, though, I have to go and finish my Advanced Functions homework for three units. Most of it involves graphingyuck!
Then, for my West and the World (or History) class, I have to research a figure from the Enlightenment or the French Revolution to be able to give a 3-5 minute presentation on them in...oh, two days. And I have to have it memorized, I have to be in costume, and I have to use props.
Then, for English, I have to write an essay on a short story called Windows by Bernice Morgan, analyzing how the symbols in the story contribute to a central theme. And God only knows when that's due.

Oh jeez.

Jesus, can you please help me?

Vengaboys

I want to share with you some of my favourite songs from the Vengaboys, a Eurodance pop group from the 90s. I used to always listen to them as a child!
I recently rediscovered them and used them when working out.
They're pretty fun so check them out (though I do apologize for the VEVO-less quality; the songs and videos are relatively old)!

I must warn you: some of the videos have inappropriate content. Viewer discretion is advised.

Raindrops

The reflections in the raindrops are so...dainty.
I want to put the tip of my tongue on that droplet. Although it's tiny, it looks like it could quench a desert-thirst.

Raindrops on Red Rose

That red is electric; and the rose looks so alive.
I love it!

White Tigers

Parrots

We had a parrot when we lived in Sri Lanka.

Monarch Butterflies

These are very famous in Canada (where I live) because every Autumn, they fly south to avoid our winters. Monarch migrations are beautiful; they look like orange-yellow kites bursting against the blue of a silky sky.

Cherry Blossoms

Cherry Blossom Trees

This picture is for my mom whose life-long dream has been to go to Japan during Sakura Season (that is, Cherry Blossom Season) to see these beautiful trees flower.
I want to make her dream come true...one day.

Pink Parasols

I just think this hue of pink is very lively.
I love parasols for their femininity and I want one. It doesn't have to be pink, either.

Yellow Umbrella

I generally don't post pictures that are "artistic" like this, wherein the picture attempts to express a human's experience in nature in an artificial way. I generally like human-less pictures of nature because...well, they're so natural.
Nevertheless, this picture is very beautiful, and I absolutely love how the eye is drawn to the pop of yellow amidst the browns, purples, and greens of the background.
The girl's outfit is also to-die-for.

I just think the whole picture is very delicate.

Kim Walker-Smith (Jesus Culture) - How He Loves Us

I love this song. The lyrics are so meaningful and Kim Walker-Smith's voice is unusually throaty, making it all the more special.
Oh, and listen to her prayer at the end, too. The first time I heard it, it almost brought me to tears and I've been getting goosebumps every time since then.
Anyways, I hope this blesses you and brings Him glory.

Beach

That looks beautiful! This picture was taken of a beach on the island of Corsica, in the Mediterranean Sea. I want to so desperately visit it now.

Waterfall

Wow, that looks amazing. I remember how, as a child, I used to bathe in waterfalls when my parents took me on vacation in the countryside of Sri Lanka. How wonderful would it be to bathe in Nature's bathtub once more?

Bellicose

bel·li·cose

[bel-i-kohs]
–adjective
inclined or eager to fight; aggressively hostile; belligerent; pugnacious.

1 Corinthians 13 (NIV)

If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears. When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
—1 Corinthians 13
I do believe this is my favourite passage in the Bible.
As for anything else I might want to add—well, there's no need; the verses speak for themselves.

Red Rocks

I love the burnt, orange-red colour of the rocks in this picture (especially when contrasted against the violet sky). It was taken in Sedona, Arizona.

Snow Leopards

These cubs are feisty, aren't they?
I must admit that I have a fascination with these ethereal creatures, so there will definitely be more to come of them.

Rainbow-y Umbrella

The colours are mesmerizing!

Writing

There is nothing to writing. All you do is sit down at a typewriter and bleed.

Ernest Hemingway

Sunflower Field

I love this shade of yellow, though I'm generally not a fan of the colour. These are very pretty.
I want to pick some!

Corinne Bailey Rae - Put Your Records On

Perhaps this is not VEVO quality (since both the video and song are relatively old), but I just had to share this. I adore this song (and video) more than words can express; it's simply lovely.

John 3:3 (NIV) — Congrats!

In reply Jesus declared, "I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again."
 —John 3:3 (NIV)

Congratulations, Tiara, on making the best decision ever by obeying in the waters of baptismas a result of your salvation by the Spiritand publicly proclaiming that Jesus Christ is the Lord and Saviour of your life.
Also, congratulations to the 6 other people who made this decision: Renee, Matthew, Andrew, Kaylon, Eric, and Sheamala Aunty.
God bless you all!

Green Apples

Want, want, want! I'm yearning to bite into an apple like this. To lick off the beads of cool water from its smooth, grassy-green surface; to pierce its once-perfect skin with my teeth; to rip from it a piece, and munchslowly, cautiouslyhearing it crunch... Oh, it's a very sharp smell; very tangy. And it's crisp, too. The juices ooze. It's tart. The aftertaste lingers.
The first bite is always the best.

Autumn Leaves

All of these colours are beautiful together; such a wonderful representation of Autumn, this. The browns, reds, oranges, yellows, and greensso crisp, so sharp. Very nice, indeed.

Coral Reefs

This is very pretty; it's a shame that, since it's underwater, we cannot have constant access to beauty like this. But I do plan on going scuba-diving one day; perhaps when I re-visit the Maldivian Islands (from where this picture was taken).

Hot-Air Ballons

Aren't the vibrant colours of these balloons against the backdrop of the blue sky absolutely striking? It's a dream of mine to go hot-air ballooning one day.

Sunset

This takes my breath away. Look at the way the reds, oranges, and yellows in the sky melt together and reflect back in the water, silhouetting the tree in the front-ground. Absolutely stunning!

Hello!

Oh, hello. I'm This Bloggerette, and I'm pleased to meet you.
It's my first posting, and though I have nothing specific to say, I thought I'd just introduce myself and my blog. That's always a good start, isn't it?
Anyways, my blog was created primarily for me to take enjoyment in self-expression. It's nice to have a space where you can just...be you. And as to who I actually am...well, I'll let my posts speak for themselves. After all, This Bloggerette is self-titled, so one may correctly assume that it'll be a good expression of me.
And This Bloggerette is by no means exclusive in terms of what you'll see here. There will be text postings, like this one, consisting of irate ranting or mellow musing. There may also be quotes, jokes, wordplay, comics—all of which I am a fan. If you're lucky, you may even come across a video or audio track once in a while.
Who knows? I'll just post whatever catches my fancy.
Okay, well...that's about it for now. Thank you for reading thus far. I hope you enjoy whatever is to come.

'Till next time,
This Bloggerette
